What is PEB?

Pre-engineered buildings are the state-of-the-art steel solution to developing an efficient and cost-effective infrastructure. PEB’s offer ultimate design flexibility and an extremely short construction time (right from initial design to completion). They are supplied as a fully finished product along with steel structure, building accessories and roof cladding. They require no on-site fabrication or welding – they can simply be bolted together as per specifications. PEBs are best suited for warehouses, sports halls, factories, workshops, distribution centers, cold storages, supermarkets, aircraft hangars or any ground + two-storey construction.

Why PEB?

They are environmentally friendly and can be a esthetically designed with unique features. An estimated 20-30% can be saved on cost, as compared to conventional building methods.

PEBs can be delivered to a site in just 5 to 8 weeks – conventional steel structures take as much as 20 to 25 weeks to complete. The unique techniques employed during fabrication help PEBs are up to 30% lighter than regular steel products. No welding or fabrication is required at the construction site, resulting in greater speed and efficiency.

Standard Primary Framing System

The most common primary systems are shown below. All shown are symmetrical about the ridge line. Framing systems about the ridge line and multi-span framing systems with unequal width modules are also possible, as symmetrical. In fact, practically any frame geometry is possible; an Areva Industries representative will be happy to discuss any specific requirements and recommend optional solutions.

Mezzanine Floors

A mezzanine or entresol is a raised platform that is independent of a building structure and is supported by steel columns. Mezzanine flooring can create additional floors of space for a variety of different uses such including storage or extra office space. Mezzanine floors are a very quick and cost effective way to create new space without the expense and inconvenience of relocation.

A steel structural mezzanine floor utilizes the overhead space in your existing premises with the minimum of disruption and in most cases without the need for planning permission It is fully customized to a organizations own specific needs, available in a wide range of floor surfaces and sizes to maximize and improve space in order to get the best use from the total volume of the premises. A mezzanine floor can cape with many different applications from light storage to the support of very heavy machinery.

Our steel mezzanine floors can be supplied for complete or partial area in any pre-fabricated building to suit loading requirements for office and storage.

Mezzanine Footers

Mezzanine stairs and handrails must be designed to meet the code requirements of your area. Standard stair widths are usually 36" wide and have skid-resistant diamond plated treads.

Closed risers, wider treads, smooth treads, unusual angles, multiple landings, cantilever landing design, and stairs with other requirements can be custom designed to meet your material handling needs.

 

"Z" - "C" - Purlins

“Z” – “C” purlins are secondary structural members used to support the wall and roof panels. Areva purlins are used on the roof, girts are used on the walls and eve struts at the intersection of side walls and roofs.

“Z” – “C” purlins are secondary structural members used to support the wall and roof panels. Areva purlins are used on the roof, girts are used on the walls and eve struts at the intersection of side walls and roofs.

Areva purlins are designed in accordance of the American Iron and Steel Institue (AISI) then cold formed design manual. Sections may be used over single spans unlapped continuous and lapped continuous span in multi bay buildings.

Areva Z&C purlins are available in two Standard Finishes i.e., Red Oxide, Galvanized.
